Born in Athens, Marina Papaspirou is a London-based multidisciplinary artist and designer. She studied across several University of the Arts London colleges, including Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion, before completing a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic and Media Design at London College of Communication.
Alongside her artistic practice, Marina has built an extensive career within the advertising and design industries, running her own studio and working across a wide range of creative disciplines. Her logotype designs have been internationally recognised and published in the acclaimed LogoLounge series.
Between 2013 and 2019, Marina participated in the annual group exhibitions at Genesis Gallery, presenting sculptural and 2D paper art pieces. Her photographic works have also been exhibited internationally in Athens, Nafplio, New York City and Miami, and are held in private collections worldwide.
At the heart of Marina’s work is an exploration of the relationship between the man-made and natural world, shaped through colour, light, emotion and intuition. Influenced by different cultures and experiences gathered through travel, her practice moves between observation and abstraction, using painting and image-making as a form of self-expression. Through layered compositions, organic forms and atmospheric details, her work seeks to capture emotional landscapes that balance spontaneity, movement and sensitivity.
